THE ETHICS OF CLONING :
There are many arguments for and against cloning, and many of them are discuscd in this chapter. In addition to the two camps of cloning advocates and opponents. there is also a group of people who believe more research is needed before a decision can be reached on whether cloning should or should not he allowcd.This third group occupies a middle ground between those who are for cloning (and therefore believe research should Continue) and those who are against it (and therefore believe furthcr research should be banned).
Arguments for Cloning
Some people who are in favor of cloning admit that there are risks and that the technolog Is not yet perfected. but they believe that the benefits oUt Weigh the risks. Other srefuse to believe that there are risks at all. Arguments for cloning can be categorized as either individual or societal.
