Charcot recognized the distinctive dysautonomia Parkinson's disease, watching these patients experienced a feeling of hyperthermia even in cold drafts, the French hospital wards:
"In the middle of winter (everyone from my service corroborate this), you can see a parkinsonian patients without blankets covering them and only the clothes lighter ... feel warm, especially around the epigastrium and back, although the face and extremities may also be the source of their discomfort. When this occurs, often accompanied by severe sweating the sheets and pajamas may need to change. assure you that regardless of how hot these patients feel or what much to tremble, the temperature is normal. "
