These figures, compiled by the student of Charcot, Paul Richer capture the deformation position and progression of untreated Parkinson's disease more than a decade. As director of the medical unit at the Salpêtrière hospital in Paris, Charcot had access to a large number of patients living in chronic central. Because patients were state charges, autopsies were performed regularly, although Charcot could not identify pathological lesion in Parkinson's disease
